Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Kingdom Academy is hosted at First Baptist Church in Oak Grove - 400 SE 14th St, Oak Grove, MO 64075
Can I visit the Academy's facility?
We warmly welcome visitors to tour our facility. If you would like to schedule a tour and see our program in action, please contact us to schedule a visit. We look forward to showing you the enriching environment we have created for our students.
What are the tuition fees for the year?
At Kingdom Academy, we understand the importance of affordable education. For detailed information about tuition fees for each semester, visit our Enrichment or High School A La Carte page.
What subjects are covered?
Kingdom Academy provides age-appropriate enrichment in a structure designed to support both learning and community at each stage of development. Across all grade levels, students have opportunities to engage in music, art, science enrichment, social studies enrichment, and other hands-on learning experiences, with offerings tailored to their developmental stage.
Pre-K through 2nd grade students are placed in self-contained classes, allowing for consistency, nurturing relationships, and developmentally appropriate instruction. Learning is hands-on and exploratory, with a strong emphasis on play, stories, movement, creative expression, and early skill-building.
3rd through 5th grade students participate in a rotational model, moving together as a group through a variety of enrichment classes. This structure allows students to experience a broad range of subjects—including literature, science exploration, the arts, music, movement, and character development—while learning alongside their peers.
6th through 8th grade students engage in middle school–level enrichment courses that encourage independence, deeper thinking, and responsibility. Classes are more exploratory and project-based, giving students opportunities to build skills, explore interests, and grow in confidence across academic, creative, and practical areas.
Across all ages, Kingdom Academy emphasizes community, character, and purposeful learning in a Christ-centered environment.

How will I know what is being covered in class?
At our Back-to-School afternoon, or when you enroll, teachers hand out an overview of what will be covered that year. And each week, teachers either email or send home a weekly newsletter telling you specifically what happened in class that day, reminders of student of the week, dates to remember, etc.
What is required of me (the parent) on this day?
We cannot function without volunteers. Mostly, parents are given the day off, but we need volunteers to help with and organize classroom parties, yearbook, participate in Anonymous Blessings (a wonderful teacher appreciation program), come in for big project days for individual classrooms, and man stations for Field Day. We try to infringe on your day off as little as possible. We are not a co-op, so we do not ask for or need consistent/weekly involvement.
What safety measures do you implement?
We conduct background checks on all teachers and staff. Our doors are locked other than arrival and dismissal and on days/times we have class parties or performances. We also provide an armed security officer on site throughout the day.
My child has a special need or circumstance, can I enroll?
As a program, we can only make limited adjustments to accommodate severe allergies, extreme learning differences, physical disabilities or special requests geared to one individual child or family. We may not be able to accommodate all physical, mental and social differences and disabilities.
What supplies or curriculum do I have to purchase?
Students have a list of supplies to purchase at the beginning of the school year. For youngers students, these supplies may be kept at school by their teacher. For older students, these supplies are kept in their backpack. All curriculum and classroom supplies are provided by Kingdom Academy as part of your student’s enrollment fees.
